Ceska zbrojovka supports the Military Solidarity Fund
The President of Ceska zbrojovka Group (CZG), Lubomir Kovarik, handed over a check in the amount of CZK 250,000 to Brigadier General Lenka Smerdova, Chairwoman of the Military Solidarity Fund. Ceska zbrojovka regularly supports the fund.
The Military Solidarity Fund was established on March 9, 2015 as a joint project of the Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic and Caritas Czech Republic. The impetus for launching this cooperative effort was the deaths of five Czech soldiers in Afghanistan as a result of a suicide bomber attack in July 2014. The mission of the fund is to provide immediate assistance to soldiers and their loved ones who have found themselves in a difficult situation due to no fault of their own. Through targeted financial support, it provides a helping hand to those who need it most. It is there for all soldiers serving in the Army of the Czech Republic, Military Police, Military Intelligence, Castle Guard and the Military Office of the President of the Republic.
"I very much appreciate cooperation between the Ceska zbrojovka Group and the Army of the Czech Republic. This company is one of our most generous contributors, providing consistent support since the fund’s inception. Thanks to them, we can help soldiers and their families who have found themselves in difficult situations. I really value their continued cooperation," said Brigadier General Smerdova.
"We are honored to provide support through the Military Solidarity Fund to the women and men in uniform who serve under the flag of the Czech Republic, including members of their family. We appreciate the work and commitment of members of the Army of the Czech Republic at home and abroad. The difficult situation caused by the current COVID-19 pandemic underlines the crucial role of our army for the whole of society, "said the group's president Lubomir Kovarik.
